Fund Raiser
There was some very good music on this CD but it came across more like a local fundraiser than the star powered music fest i expected. Okay but not great.
Tribute To Johnny Cash
This is a benefit concert from 2011 to restore the old homeplace of Johnny Cash. Therefore his extended family, including daughter Rosanne and son John Carter former son-in-law Rodney Crowell among others and musical friends Kris Kristofferson and George Jones performed songs written or associated with Johnny Cash. Other artists who perform in this concert are Tommy Cash, Joanne Cash-Yates, Dailey & Vincent, Gary Morris, Bill Miller and Chelsea Crowell.
The arrangements are close to the originals. If you prefer a more "modern" approach to the songs check out the "We Walk The Line" Tribute DVD/Blu-Ray, which was released about the same time with different artists. Both are highly recommended.
